We arrive at the Space Center Sepulcher to find the entire complex abandoned. A service entrance under a blue awning is ajar.
We cautiously encroach on Space Center grounds.
Inside is cooperate commercial construction, center atrium, towering row upon row of cubicles.
The central elevator is a shiny silver ThyssenKrupp. The doors slide open.
On the panel outlined in a pentagram, a button gilded in gold. The label reads, “The basement.”
I look to you, your smile is unstoppable strength, our connexion is overflowing.
“Going down.” You press the button.
The silver doors close, the ThyssenKrupp lurches. In no time we’re moving faster than a man can run. Accelerations increasing, second hand sweep of time, descent to the basement.
