Considerations and Evaluations; VACKED PEOPLE are BROADCASTING UNNAMED BLUETOOTH SIGNAL.

Up until now I was a skeptic. VACKED PEOPLE broadcasting MAC addresses? It doesn’t seem possible.

I started experimenting with my laptop at local cafe.

I installed BlueMan software, it was easy to SCAN for UNNAMED BLUETOOTH DEVICES.

My first scan was extremely anomalous. A list of UNNAMED MACs. I counted sixteen cafe patrons, and was astonished to count thirty-three unnamed MAC addresses.

I’ve seen network MAC addresses before when working with KALI Linux pentest software.

All network devices require a MAC; media access control address.

All manufactures that provide network hardware are allocated MAC address code:

Unnamed Bluetooth Signals are prohibited except in development environments.

Since these first scans, I’ve setup a home proximity sensor and logger.

I intercepted a neighbor who was walking next to my little cabin.

I was alerted to a new MAC by my scanner.

I reset my scanner to confirm signal was still in range.

His MAC immediately listed on my LOG.

I stepped out onto my porch and watched him walk by.

His unnamed MAC address is 4F:CC:CB:35:68:93
